I just wanted to share with you an update on Frankie, now that we've had him for about a month. We feel so lucky to have adopted him, he's such a sweet, funny boy and he fits in our household so well.
Gonzo and Frankie still mostly ignore each other - though Frankie has tried to engage Gonzo in some playtime (unsuccessfully). I often find them sleeping next to each other though! Frankie LOVES Daniel, my fiance, and Daniel is head over heels for him too. Frankie is always next to Daniel, and at night, he climbs on top of his chest and nuzzles up to his face. He is such a talker, and his cute, grumpy sounding meow makes me laugh every day. It's so wonderful to have a cat back in our house, and Frankie is the perfect cat for us. Thank you for the wonderful work you do! Chelsea

They are both doing really well and as you can see getting bigger. Squeakers/Sassy is too cute and a handful. She still gets into everything, but is such a sweetie. Aggie/Kitty is still a little skittish. She loves her home, but is not a lap cat and is not one to coming running to you unless there is food. It took her a solid month to be ok with Sassy being here. Now they play with each other and get along great.
Miko Mittens is a little fluffy lounge lizard! She's gorgeous! Rupert adores her.. 😇 He really does.
I've added a photo of Rupert. It's so cute to see them play. They love that blue piece of chiffon in that photo. They play hide and seek with it. I love her so very much. She has her forever home with me❤️❤️❤️❤️ Kate Ben Ben is definitely making himself comfortable around here. His Trixie Wooden Outdoor Cat Run came today! He is so desperate to go outside. I hope the Cat Run will appease him! Here are photos of his first time out....
Candice They're looking amazing in their new forever home!
They were a surprise gift that was caught on Facebook Live! www.facebook.com/LAPCATS/videos/1488885904495165/ Pooky is has found a great sink and Zeus is observing from a hiding spot.
It is only a matter of time before both of them start to feel comfortable. They were surrendered after being with another family for over five years so this is a big change for them going from their former family, to the shelter, to foster care, to Petsmart, back to foster care, and now to their new home. They're looking good! Just wanted to let you know how Reece and I are doing. SHE IS MOST PERFECT CAT EVER!! Not only has she bonded beautifully with my other female kitty Shy Piper, but she has also blended in quite nicely with my boy cats. She is an avid talker and an outrageous purrer. At night she sleeps on my bed pillows right next to my head.
I want to thank you for matching me up with Reece. She is the best cat ever! Again: I cannot thank you enough for matching me up to such a great kitty. She is such a blessing! I would not have been nearly as successful on my own "search". Please know that her Forever Home with me is Forever and Ever! Karen Big Red and Lil Red are happy, sleepy boys on a chilly Sacramento afternoon. After being kicked outside and abandoned when their owners moved, they are living a safe and happy life now with their new adoptive dad and Kyle!
He's doing so so well, and I think once he's settled, will be totally fine with other fosters coming in. What a lovebug he is!
Max has slimmed down and finally trusts me enough to play. He comes to sleep on my chest every morning (which is because he loves me, and not because he's hungry...right?) He's still hesitant around strangers but getting braver everyday, and I'm so proud of him! Max is proof positive that even the most scared cats can come out of their shell with enough patience. Thank you again for bringing him into my life! I can't believe it has been a year. The boys are such a fun part of our lives- we can't imagine the house without them.
Thanks to you and Maine Coon Adoptions for introducing us. It was a perfect match. Kris and Jon We're all doing and getting along great. We enjoy them tremendously even though they seem single minded in the desire to turn our furniture into kindling and that we have been unable to keep Willie of the counters and book shelves (the resulting breakage of glasses, pottery, etc. has been considerable). Still, we love them dearly, feed them better than we feed ourselves and dote on them (pets, brushings, claw clippings, etc.).
They are treasured! Thanks again to you and Lapcats for connecting us with them! Chris & Robyn Liam and Andre adopted together! Liam is still hiding. But he 'almost' came out when he heard the wet food this morning. Andre is curious, and has been out more often. But still easily scared by outside noises. So under the couch it is! :) I think my counters will be having a fat accomplice in future days. The boys are newly named....Chunky McStubby Tail and Oscar Von Wobble Snickers!
Such a rough life!!! ;) So happy to finally see them start to settle. And show their personalities. Andre is determined to smother me. And Liam will beg for all his days!!!! :) Maurice and Clara (aka Sissy and Brody)doing well and being sweet kitties--bonded pairs need to stay together! Ann and Chris Laly in her new home. They had to trick her to come down stairs with treats but as soon as they did the adoption she started coming down on her own. Guess she wanted to make sure it was permanent :)
Grayson now goes by Earl Grey. Earl for short. He is sweet, very relaxed, loves to be petted, and likes to sit on laps. He uses the cat box and scratch pad. The introduction to Feather is going slowly. We don't want to rush it. We really want her to accept him. She hissed at him and is skittish. We are letting her get used to his smell and having him around. I'll keep you posted on how they get along.
Earl is fitting in great and has made friends with Feather. Thanks, Katherine I LOVE this Kitty! Not only does she have similar characteristics that my Calico Mel had (fearlessness, tenacious, very social, nosiness), she is as cute as a bug-in-a-rug! She has settled in nicely to her "suite": my entire 3rd level Loft/Master Bed & Bathroom. I made an appt with Dr Holmes at Natomas Animal Medical Center for Wednesday per instructions.
Thank you for Reece! She is filling the void in my heart! Karen The moment my husband, son and I saw photos of Wall-E and Eva online, we had a feeling they would be a great fit for our family.
The two cats were rescued from a hoarding situation, then went to a shelter and then finally to Lapcats where they awaited adoption. As soon as we met them it was love at first sight! Eva loves to cuddle and purr. She loves to give hugs and sleep near my chest. Wall-E is fun and frisky and loves to climb and chase toys. The cats had a little bit of a rough start in life but are now so happy. We are so lucky to have them in our home and will love them furever! Thank you Barbara, Irene and everyone at Lapcats for all you do and for allowing us to connect with these sweet kitties! Sara, Jessie and Evan Just so you know we are taking care of the "Brothers". The picture is with Liam on my Gator. For some reason, he loves to ride on the Gator with me, wherever I go. He will stand on the seat with his front paws on the dash to make sure I am going where he wants. Today Nanc and I decided to do the spraying, it took 1.5 hours and he sat on the Gator the whole time. When he wants to check out what I am doing, he gets off and when I start it up again he is back on the seat with Nanc and I. This is a really strange cat but my best friend. Loves the horses, loves my Giant Schnauzer so different.
Regarding Lance, a little bit reserved but whenever I call him he is there and he loves his brother and he loves his sister Misty(that we rescued earlier). He is a very! pretty cat and loves being here. For you sanity, because I don't trust the brothers at night we give them their treats before it gets dark and then they go into their "big crate with litterbox and slings that they seem to like"!! Anyway, as you know I am a dog guy, but these two cats "have my heart"!! When I walk out in the morning to let them out, I just laugh as how much fun they bring to my life and Nanc's. Elsa has definitely broken out of her shell and now loves to snuggle. She and our dog Molly have become great playmates. Every now and then she becomes "crazy cat" and really makes us laugh. We love her! The boys are adjusting well. I missed a great photo op when they were running up, down, over and thru their "Disneyland" at record speed! It was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! Here are a few pics. Mister is right at home but Sammy is still very cautious of people.
