This is the first time we have done a Bonded Pairs adoption with a cat and a dog!!
We rescued Cirrus the cat out of the shelter earlier in the week and when I went back to the shelter and inquired about the dog that came in with him, we looked on the computer and saw that it showed he was adopted. After further investigation he had been adopted but was returned three days later because "He was aggressive." This dog is the furthest thing from aggressive you could ever imagine! He is a complete lapdog, loves to give dog kisses, loves to be carried around like a football, and when he was reunited with his cat brother, his tail went a mile a minute. He climbed in the carrier and started kissing his head. It was the sweetest thing and we got it all on Facebook live! They definitely have to stay together so if you are interested in a bonded pair cat and dog, please look at the profile on Cirrus as well and submit an application at Lapcats.org! Below are some amazing photos of them fitting in wonderfully with all sorts of friends at Lapcats Manor! Stogie who was going to be euthanized because he needed his teeth removed and he was "an old cat so why waste the money" (can you believe that?!)! Well, he went home yesterday on trial and I know his potential adopter is in love.
Here's the first update: He lasted about 2 minutes in the crate then I let him out... The dogs were so excited to see him... He didn't run just trotted around for a bit so pretty sure he has been around dogs before... He has been around the whole house twice now and is chillin in the bathroom next to the toilet... I went in to check on him and give him a pet and purrs the size of lions came out of him lol... I think he's settled in. I want to adopt him!!! What a cool cat. You can post this pic to your site saying he found his Furever home. Love him!
Julian went off to his forever home today! This sweet kitty was found with a plastic cup lid strangling him around his neck and was saved by a good Sam. Now he's off to his new life!
Snapcat and Meowji went home with Kevin and his kids. Check out his daughters awesome cat leggings! The kittens are a bit squirmy so Lapcats Foster Mom, Carrie, stepped in and took a adoption day picture with them. Congrats!
While Izzy was being adopted from Lapcats Manor, Tito was trying to work his way into a double adoption with Karen and Scott! He started out on Scott's lap, reached up to give him a kiss, then put his paw on Scott's left arm, then kissed his fingers, and finished with his head resting on his right hand. Absolutely precious but unfortunately they could only adopt one! Izzy has already settled in at her new home nicely!
