There are many different ways you can help LapCats in our mission to help the cat community and beyond.
We always welcome donated funds or items.
Donations
CAT FACT: Female cats can go into heat as early as 4 months old and can get pregnant up to 4 times a year with an average of 6 to 10 babies per litter! That's a lot of unwanted kittens. Please help us stop the cycle, every donation makes a difference!
All donations are tax deductible as LAPCATS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, ID 47-3066321.
Monetary Donation
Your cash donation helps to cover expenses required to maintain the cats that we rescue. Your donation is made convenient via Paypal. Please click "Donate" to make a tax deductible contribution today! Donations by check can be made to:

Here are some great examples of how your monetary donation can help:
A $50.00 donation will buy a microchip with lifetime registration for 2 cats!
A $35.00 donation will provide an important test for feline leukemia to one cat.
A $30.00 donation will help feed an averaged sized feral cat colony for a week!
A $50.00 donation will provide litter to a cat in foster care for a month!
A $25.00 donation will provide necessary booster vaccines for one kitten.
A $120.00 donation will spay a female cat, or neuter a male cat helping control the cat population!
An extra $38.00 will vaccinate one cat against diseases and rabies!

Donations in Honor or Memory
What better way to honor someone who holds a special place in your heart than by helping to save the life of a cat in need? We will send a special personalized thank you card from LapCats honoring your donation. Please be sure to note who we are honoring or remembering with this wonderful gesture.
Workplace Giving
Many companies not only encourage their employees to give to non-profits, but some will also match those efforts with dollars. Employee Matching Gifts are donations and employer make to match its employee's charitable (and tax deductible) contributions. Contact your employer or HR department to find out if your company offers this benefit.
Facebook Fundraiser
Facebook offers a convenient way to get your friends and family involved in fundraising. You can easily organize a fundraising goal and a reason - like a birthday celebration, or just because! Simply visit HERE follow the instructions and be sure to select "Lapcats Inc" as your non-profit of choice. Facebook will collect all raised funds and disperse them to us. Best thing about Facebook, they do not take out any fees! (unlike some other donation options)

Pet Food/Litter Donations
All cat foods, wet and dry, are always needed. Specialty foods (kitten, senior, etc) are always welcome for our special needs cats as well. Different types of litter are always needed. We use ALOT of it!

Car Donation
You can donate your car, Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS) will pickup your vehicle for free whether it is running or not. Your vehicle donation is also still tax deductible!

Foster With US
Lapcats is a 501(c)3 organization and we have several functions that need support.
We cannot operate without foster homes. Since we are a small organization with limited volunteers who are able to foster multiple cats at a time, we are always in need of foster homes. This could be a short term, or longterm commitment. There are no guarantees when our kitties will find their forever homes-we ONLY look for the best and right fit for them. We need fosters who can commit to fostering for whatever time the cats need. If you would be interested in fostering with Lapcats, please fill out our Foster Application!
