Current Kitty Updates

Stogie on Trial!

2/27/2017

Stogie who was going to be euthanized because he needed his teeth removed and he was "an old cat so why waste the money" (can you believe that?!)! Well, he went home yesterday on trial and I know his potential adopter is in love.

Here's the first update:
He lasted about 2 minutes in the crate then I let him out... The dogs were so excited to see him... He didn't run just trotted around for a bit so pretty sure he has been around dogs before... He has been around the whole house twice now and is chillin in the bathroom next to the toilet... I went in to check on him and give him a pet and purrs the size of lions came out of him lol...

Julian went off to his forever home today! This sweet kitty was found with a plastic cup lid strangling him around his neck and was saved by a good Sam. Now he's off to his new life!

Thanks for asking about Paisley. She had a fever of unknown origin but she's fully recovered now and she's doing great. She has a good appetite and she's very affectionate and playful. She's a great cat and we love her so much!
I've attached some recent pictures of her. She is sooooo cute!

Note from Lapcats:

While Arthur was on trial adoption, he started to have pain when he was eating  so they took him to the vet and it was discovered he needed a dental. Lapcats was able to pay for the entire procedure with assistance from the grant money received from the Petfinder Foundation and now Arthur has officially been adopted!

Update:

I adopted my first cat about a year earlier and I was thinking about adopting another. I knew I did not want a kitten; I wanted an older cat because they often don’t get adopted as easily.  One day I was in PetSmart and I almost always look at the adoptable cats, but I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with one that day.

As soon as I saw Arthur and read his bio I was instantly attached. He was such a gentle giant and the best droopy eyes. I was able to go in the back and met Arthur and his personality came out instantly. He loves to lie on his back and have his belly starched. He is the sweetest ball of fur you’ll ever meet. I was definitely falling in love but I hadn’t really planned an adopting that day so I gave it the night to think on it, but the whole night I couldn’t imagine not having him.

The next day we went back to the store and talked with Barbara Doty, she was extremely helpful and flexible, and we came to the conclusion that I would foster Arthur for a few weeks to make sure he got along with my other cat and that he was happy in our home. After a few days on his own we decided to let him meet my other cat and after the initial smelling of each other they kind of just did their own thing. Not long after they started to play together and are still getting along great. He loves to be around people and is very docile.

He has been the prefect addition to our home.
