What a day! Thank God for Erica and Lynda. None of us ever sat down and we all forgot we had to go to the bathroom for six hours! Just to recap the day quickly.....The first appointment of the day was Kristen for Buttercup. She went home on trial. Next was Hannah who came to visit Arthur one of my fosters. She went home to sleep on it because she gives herself a 24 hour rule. She's a second year vet student at UC Davis. Sam was adopted by Mary and her daughter. I am hoping he behaves himself and fits in with there four other cats. Next up, Ben and Jerry (who have been in foster) were adopted by Jennifer. Lots of other visitors and productive things happened today. As you can see, the cats were out the entire seven hours. My foster Samuel had a haircut by Val and Shannon. Shannon is interested in possibly adopting him after being in foster for three years! You guys will see him at the potluck this weekend he looks so cute. Thanks again for all the help Lynda, Leslie, Erica, Mary Ellen! Barbara Today was a successful and productive day at the center. First order of business was finalizing Apollo's adoption. He has been renamed Mushroom and he is adored by his new adoptive parents.
Previous adopter Laura came in with Auggie and Lily (pictured here) a bonded pair we adopted 3 1/2 years ago. They came in for a nail trimming. This is a heart warmer because she originally applied to adopt Lily and because they were a bonded pair, we would not separate them-you can see why. She said they are completely 100% bonded and if they had been separated it would have been horrible. She can't imagine life without them. Meg came in for a visit as did Madison from Petsmart who shared pictures of all of her animals. She too adopted a cat from us probably six or seven years ago named Phishy. |
