Apollo went home with a young lady and her boyfriend this evening and I have a warm and fuzzy feeling about his chances for having a new home. He will have a little sister cat and Sadie and Josh are very familiar with the time involved in not only acclimating him to a new home but also to a new sister. He went into their carrier without a peep and seemed comfortable. They spent some quality time with him petting, brushing, and generally schmoozing with him before leaving. I gave him love and kisses and best wishes from all of us I know he has held a special place in our hearts as one of our longest Lapcats citizens. Volunteer Pam Here's the update already:
He's an absolute DOLL! He's very comfortable already exploring the house, purring, and soaking up some attention from me and my boyfriend. I can't believe how calm he is. He doesn't seemed to be bothered by Tundra's smells at all (our little female kitten). Tundra did hiss when she first smelled his empty carrier after settling him into his bedroom. But he's already changed her tune and is very interested in his smells coming from under his door in a much more affiliative manner. We will keep you updated on our slow intro process and they'll be separated until everyone is comfortable enough to meet, but this boy is a total heartthrob!
