Yuuki Adopted!

2/14/2016

Yuuki came to Lapcats almost 4 years ago with his sister as kittens.  We thought he had a vision problem but he was adopted.  He was taken to the eye specialist and it was determined he was not blind, but instead had Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH).

CH is most commonly caused by the kitten’s mother contracting the Panleukopenia virus while pregnant.  It occurs when the cerebellum, the part of the brain which controls fine motor skills and coordination, is not completely mature at birth.

Yuuki has trouble getting his hind legs to work normally.  Unfortunately Yuuki was returned to Lapcats almost 2 years ago.

We thought he would be with us for life and then his angels came along.

Tracy and Norman lost their CH kitty and decided to open their hearts and home to another CH kitty.  They took Yuuki home on a trial basis and he blossomed being in a home all to himself.  They fell in love with him and made it final on Valentines day.

What a purrfect adoption day.
