A lot has changed since I first adopted Misha from you. My fiancée and I bought a house and moved in together, and I gotta say Misha is still just the most affectionate, accepting, easy going cat I have ever met! She LOVES her new dog sister and is just as obsessed with her new daddy. She loves giving him "baths" and perching on his shoulders. Everyone that comes into our home is just amazed at how outgoing and personable she is! I've given your agency a ton of referrals over the past few years. Here's a few pics of Mish, doing some of the things she loves best. :) -Katya

The camera flash woke them up a little. They still wrestle.

Thought you might like to see Duncan with his new friend. We adopted a stray Chihuahua mix a few months ago. As you can see he is eclipsed by the size of Duncan. Duncan is doing well, happy and healthy.
Michele and Family Tommy, now Theodore, has been well worth the wait! After moving across the country for college and returning to California for my career, I have been eager to get a kitty companion. I saw Theodore on Lapcat's website and knew I needed to meet him. I adopted him about 5 days ago from his foster mom and he's just a sweetheart. I'm happy to say Theodore is settling in nicely. He loves to play with his new toys, purrs up a storm and likes to watch whatever people are doing.
After our 15 year old cat Jessie died last July, we adopted Lily from the Sac SPCA. We wanted to adopt 2 cats, but did not find another cat that day. Lily is a tabby/tortoiseshell, and we were told she was a bit of a diva. Lily weighs about 7 pounds & is very active, so I tell her she is a cross between a cat, a rat, & a spider monkey. Since I shop at the Elk Grove Pet’Smart, I periodically check out the cats available for adoption. On one visit, Lapcats introduced Matt & me to LuLu, a 2 year old super mellow black & white cat. Matt & I took her home that day. Matt decided to name her Simba.
After a slow introduction, Lily accepted Simba. They get along extremely well, & they wrestle, which is a type of cat behavior I have never experienced before. They are becoming best buddies & Lily will go find Simba sleeping on a chair & curl up with her. Lily also likes to curl up on my lap & Simba is Matt’s lap cat. We have a screened in porch with a “cat” shelf about 8 feet off the ground so the cats can enjoy the outdoors without being outdoors. Both cats like to sit up on the shelf & watch the hummingbirds feeding. They also like watching the birds & a Cooper’s Hawk bathing in the birdbath. We are very happy with our new additions to our family, & are grateful that we found Simba. Jan & Matt |
