MAJOR success!!!
Our daughter, Molly was BEYOND excited, and overwhelmed with joy!!! It really was precious and priceless to see the joy!! They are fast friends, (he slept with her last night), and Cubby (she landed on Cubby, from Jake and the Neverland Pirates!!), is such a good and sweet little kitty!!! Everyone is getting along. "Big Sister" Sally, (our other cat), doesn't love him, but she doesn't hate him either!! :) And he is getting warmed up to our dog, who can't wait to be friends!! THANK YOU for being so flexible, and helping us pull off the biggest surprise of our daughter's 6 years, and possibly, life!!! :D We will take good care of this little dude, and we will check in from time to time!! Here are some (a lot), photos of Molly and Cubby's first meeting and first moments of a lifelong friendship!! Thank you, Heather, Cubby's (formerly know as Gabriel) new Mom!! Your going to love this! Laurel loves her yarn toy. Shaggy loves his mouse. He brought her his mouse and dropped it next to the yarn. So sweet! Shaggy is a character & so sweet!
Heather The boys are doing great! They make us laugh every day and let us love on them. Chip tries to convince us to get up at 2:00 in the morning sometimes. He's so damn cute at it you can't help but smile.
Since Erik works from home most days they take turns checking on him and keeping him company. We were concerned that on 4th of July they would hide because of the fireworks, plus we were having out parents over. Instead they both sat front and center and let everyone ooh and ahh over them. Even begging for food. LOL. And the fireworks we were so worried about wasn't an issue. we found Dale slept through them and Chip watched the bigger ones through the window. They are so wonderful! Hollis I just wanted to send you some recent pictures and let you know that Lily and Rosie are doing GREAT! They are just living it up in their outdoor cat enclosure despite the heat; it is pretty well-shaded and they love climbing around on the perches out there and watching the birds. We built a little set of stairs to help Rosie get easier access to it with her short little legs (their access point is a window in our daylight basement so they can come and go as they like), and now she just zooms up those stairs every day, happy as a clam. She has really relaxed and becomes more and more interactive with us and cuddly by the day. She and Lily are good sisters and partners in crime; they just love to play together. Our oldest cat, Luke, is 18 now and not up for much play time anymore, but he likes to watch the girls go after their favorite toys and sometimes joins in as well.
I have to tell you a great story about Lily: a couple of weeks ago, around 3am, she woke me up in a panic. At first, I thought she was just wanting to play, but she ran to the window and was very distraught about something outside and scratching at it. I looked and there was a prowler in our yard! What a wonderful little guard cat she is! It's a good thing she woke me up; our security light deterred him but then he went to the neighbor's house. So I called 911, and I think they caught him. All because of our smart little Siamese. :) -Laura Daniel, daddy to our Lapcats alum Molly and Cheerio, made a beautiful cat tree for the babies and they sure seem to LIKE IT! Cheerio is putting is paws of approval all over it
