Ranger – The Window Cat

My Story

I was lost and homeless. Someone found me and took me to the pound. ACK! I thought that I was going to die. And do not believe in that – cats have nine lives!

However, some humans called, “Lapcats” saved me and thus began my journey as a Window Cat.

For a whole year I sat in a window at some human store. Sometimes I got to stay in some foster home. That was sort of ok. Sort of not ok.

If you think that I look a bit grouchy in my picture… well I can be. All day long, humans would come and look at me, tap on the window, make faces at me. I had no privacy at all. Even when I had to use the bathroom – yup, right in front of everyone!

So yes, I can be grouchy. I like to hiss and play bite humans. I think they get scare and it makes me laugh. (evil grin)

During my year long stay at the human store, I would see these same two humans look at me. One would even get tears in her eyes. But they never came to pet me and they never took me home. Other humans would come to see me. Some I did not like at all! I would hiss at them (hehe) Sometimes nice humans would come and see me and I would try to sneak out with them by hiding in a pet bag… but they took some other stupid cat.

And then… those two humans who looked at me for a year… came back. And they came into my room and asked questions about me. And they petted me and picked me up… I tried to be grouchy as that is my nature… but that did not seem to bother them.

They signed papers and put me in a cat bad and
took me – Ranger, The Window Cat – HOME.

So after a year – I am home. I wonder why it took so long for these two humans to take me… Well, I think I know now.
Let's begin with this:
And that one too...

There were a few other issues like this -
She barks at me:

Yep, another one...

And then there is this… ACK! The black one tries to bite my tail!

And I am not even speaking about the mouse and the fish and the wild animals all over. This place is a ZOO!

The two humans are very nice to me. I have toys, a new litter box, food and a cool condo. I also have a big bed that I will allow the humans to use sometimes. The other animals in this zoo leave me along and I have not attacked them (yet). I am very loving at times, but I still like being grouchy.

The best part is that I still have a window. I used to hate my window in the human store… but now I love my windows.

And the other best part… the two humans became my moms, and I have a home!
I am Ranger the Window Cat.

And I am Home.
Wait, you think this story is over? Well guess again…

One day as I was doing my thing, sleeping in MY bed, Moms came home with THIS -

FELIX!
My OLD friend from LAPCATS!

Yup, the bad boys are back together again! And the truth is… we are very loving… but we still like to hiss and scare humans! Hehe!
