We are still in love with this guy. He keeps us and the 'girls' (Bria and meouwky) busy but he can also be very relaxed. He loves to be petted, the whooooole day long. He also loves routine, yesterday night I took these two pictures. It's his game and daily routine; hide and seek and than he waits for Bria (one of the 'girls') and looks very disappointed when she doesn't show up now and then.

Darwin is the love of my life. He is so sweet, very confident yet I've discovered he has his own bit of anxiety. If I am away for too long he opens several cabinets and drawers, never gets into anything or pulls anything out. I think it's a way of searching/ coping. Once I arrive home he's by my side for an hour or so then wanders off doing his own thing.
I have a courtyard and have tried to let him out there with me twice and both times, he jumps on the fence, goes over and starts to explore. Because I don't ever want to lose him or worry that he might run away, I keep him indoors. He's adjusted nicely and in fact I think he realizes that he has it pretty good! Thank you and also big thanks to Brittany. I love Darwin so deeply and have found him for a reason....... :) Enjoy the pictures and please share with others. Jane and kitty Darwin
It's been a long time since I updated you on Napoleon. He is such a good kitty. He loves outside time and being brushed while he rolls in the dirt. He is such a boy. He loves to cuddle while we watch tv at night. Can't thank you enough for allowing me to make him part of our family! Jill (Wow! Yes, Mr. McGyver (Napoleon) and his friend Panther. They were so close to being euthanized for being exposed to/carriers of Calicivirus. Yesterday it all came back to me. I went back and reread my emails from October, 2010. I remember that they had to leave the shelter immediately and could not come back. I remember that I had nowhere for them to go but that I was not going to let them die, so in my upstairs bedroom they went. I remember talking to Dr. Warner on my cell phone out in front of the shelter, asking her about it and why it was such a big deal while they waited in the car. I remember having to scrub the habitat, of course, from top to bottom. Wow, that was over four years ago..... He is so very handsome. I have his picture up at my desk. He is now looking at me and reminding me that I did the right thing. -Shannon) Sending you these pictures of Liam with our Fresian who is the 1700 lb horse that Liam has befriended. This cat is the most unusual cat I have even seen. Liam says he can make everyone his friend, and proven from the pictures.
Even though Lance isn't in the pictures, he goes and lays in the stalls with the horses to keep them company but he is getting more and more part of the Family. We never knew we would have "BARN CATS" that are part of our life every minute we are on the ranch. They are truly a treasure!!! Tom We had changed Allie's name to Jingles - she keep jingle her tail sometimes.
We did take her on road trip to Portland - didn't like getting in crate but were calm during driving. She even saw SNOW (rarely happen in Portland but it did) and loves get on the window sill to watch. Here at home in Sac, she still loves to sit watch out of the patio glass door. Eating real well. Frosty (the other cat) still don't want to play with her. Apparently she hates it when Jingles get on her paper bag ... and have mini hissy fit and walk away. They seem do fine with litter wait for each other and have their own separate food bowls. They each have own scratcher board. She do play with laser and wand. I guess she doesn't seem interested in playing with balls or some toys so far. She sitting & watching from the mini box. Well-behaved. She would sneak to other bowl with dry food and scoop food out eat on carpet. same with scoop paw in water bowl and drink from it. Both seem to be fine sleeping on same sofa as long it's few feet apart. I haven't seen them play with each other yet. Who knows one day? Everything going good. Such a sweet darling. I posted a picture on Lapcats Facebook page. If you happen to come across another deaf cat or dog, let me know - I can let other friends know and get word out to see if anyone else want to adopt. Many Thanks! Nanette
Pumpkin is doing well. She loves to climb on furniture and look out side windows. She especially likes to look out the sliding glass doors to our patio in the backyard. The vet wants us to feed her Hill Science Diet food and we are doing that. However, she does not seem to be losing much weight. We take her to the vet to trim her nails. My husband will take pictures of her soon and send some to you.
Bye for now, Kimberly, Chris, and Emmanuel "Manny" Biddle
The boys are doing great! (We've re-named them, Biscuit is now Twinkle Bear and Marvin is Chomper Nosferatu.) They're both fabulous; they're so adorable and have such strong personalities. We've recently moved into a home with a resident female cat (about 9 years old) and she's not as interested in them as they are in her, so we're doing our best to help soften the transition (mostly for her). They love hanging out with us and are constantly exploring - they open cupboards and drawers and climb everything... our little adventurers! Twinkle likes to sleep on my pillow at night (while I am also sleeping on my pillow) and Chomper likes to crawl all over us and meow loudly to see if we're awake and want to pet and/or play with him. They're our sweet, goofy little buddies. They're sleeping in the room with me as I write this... uh-oh, Chomper's tapping my leg with his paw, I think he wants some attention. :o) I hope all is well with you and all of your precious kitties!
Best regards, Kate Simi Sue as we call her now is doing great with both her brothers (cat & dog)! Vet said she was a little "husky" so she's enjoying grain free as well as her "husky" brothers! Lol!! She loves the top of the cat tree and sitting in the window talking to the birds and squirrels that stroll by. She is a great addition to the family and we love her so much!! Thank you again for our new fur baby!
Michelle Harper is the most well behaved cat I have ever had. He always uses the litter box, he uses all scratching posts and doesn’t scratch furniture, he doesn’t wake me up in the middle of the night, and he greets me at the door. He even welcomes strangers, like my neighbor or my housekeeper. He is tree dweller and loves his very expensive and very tall cat tree. He still loves his laser pointer.
He has a high allergy tendency, which is controlled through meds. For example, when I open the window to get fresh air, his eyes may run if pollen is in the air. I have a prescription cream for him when this occurs. I keep forgetting that he is allergic to pollen. My vet said is also allergic to fleas and was treated when I first adopted him, but this is not a problem now since he doesn’t go outside (nor does he have any desire to go outside). I wish he would cuddle with me more, but he seems to rather run around and chase his tail or play with his mouse toys than to watch tv with me. Perhaps when he is a senior kitty, he will hang out with me more. I am very happy Harper is a part of my life. Thanks. Pauline

He loves everyone here and we love him. He is my affectionate spoiled little baby. Here is a picture of him in one of his spots in the t.v. stand.
Juanita Haven't sent updates in a while so here you go :) Ava has been such a snuggle bug lately, whether she parks it on my chest, legs, arms or as my "little spoon". She makes coming home so awesome :)
Thanks, Courtney I am so, so glad you hooked me up with Max. Best decision I've made in a long time. Life is so much better with him around. Thank You, Lapcats!
