Mr. Wilson Update!

3/15/2015

After a 2500 miles travel with our three cats we finally arrived in Georgia on February 7. We slept in 6 different hotels, all pet friendly but looking back a huge operation. Now we are settled we introduced Wilson to his new neighborhood last week (walking on a leash). Yesterday he thought he was ready to go on his own and we let him go to find his own way. He loves it here in the backyard so close to the forest.

Lance and Liam Update!

3/14/2015

Liam and Lance are having a great time.  I kept them in their crate for a week and didn't have the heart to keep them in any longer so I let them out during the day, they love the property as they originally called to each other, now they feel comfortable to  roam.  Our other three cats love them,  Lance and Liam (even tho we feed them their canned food separately in their crate twice a day) they are in the hay barn eating dry food and they all get along.
We still put them in their crate at night ( that they do on their own) because Liam is too friendly, the first day I let them out and I walked down the driveway with my Giant Schnauzer, Liam walked up to him and rubbed his nose and they are now the best of friends.  Liam does that in the pasture with our 1700 pound Freisian .  I was out in the pasture cleaning up from the horses, and as usual Liam follows me everywhere, Liam walks up underneath the horse and Cooper puts his head down and Liam licked his face and they are friends. Lance was slower to warm up but now he is getting to be the same way. My problem is they are  too friendly with horses, dogs etc so they have to stay in their crate at night to make sure they don't run into a coyote or whatever.
You will be very happy for the home Liam and Lance have!Tom

Athena Update!

Athena is doing really well. She has very much settled into her new home, and in particular she is very affectionate with me. Every morning she wakes me up by stepping on my head, in anticipation of being fed her wet food, and whenever I get home from work she does everything she can do to get my attention - walking on my keyboard while I'm typing, curling up next to me on my bed, etc. She hasn't warmed up to my housemates quite as much but whenever I'm around she comes out and socializes with them. I bought a cat toy on Amazon which she loves, and she enjoys sleeping on my windowsill in the sun. Overall, she is healthy and happy.Three are from the first day she came to live with me: one of Athena under my bed, and two in the car. Then there are also more recent pictures of Athena sleeping or trying to get my attention away from other work by sitting on top of it, or generally looking unamused by me taking a picture!

Maisy Update

3/4/2015

Maisy wasn't real happy on the way home with her tree piled on top of her carrier! However, she does seem to be settling in quite nicely.

She discovered the opening in the door to the garage quite quickly and went exploring and found her litter box and initiated it promptly.  She seems to have gotten, at least initially, the message that getting up on the dining table is frowned upon.

She hasn't tried opening cabinets but started to explore one that I'd left open.  She's certainly fond of being a lap cat!

Many thanks for being a part of this blessing in my life.

Sadie Update

She is a total doll. She's been my shadow and cuddle buddy for the past while. She also thinks everything cylindrical or round is her toy, so it's always fun trying to find pens and chapstic. Lol! I hope you enjoy the pics I attached :) Thank you again for making this super sweet match!
