We decided to call them Maurice (Ravel) and Clara (Schumann). Maurice comes out quite a bit-- sat on couch with me yesterday; Clara comes out for treats and pats every once in a while :)

The cats are doing awesome. They love it here for sure. They're doing really well with my kids too. My daughter loves on them all the time. Snapcat (who now goes by Minnie) is my Daughters best friend. Rides in all her doll strollers and snuggles all the time. Meowji (who now goes by Daisy) is most often following me around. Actually, most any time I sit down both are on my lap purring away, but Minnie get the prize for the purr machine.
Both went to see the vet last Monday for their check-up and all went very well. They're both thriving. Pictures. Yeah, that's hard because they won't sit still that often. Like right now they're chasing each other up and down the hallway. I'm so glad these two little girls are here. Thank you so much for letting us adopt them. I don't think we could ask for any better kitty cats. Kevin
Binx is doing great!👍 lately I found out he have weird habit of eating grass, so I planted some grass inside of the house that way he wouldn't be crying to go outside but all of his behaviors are normal! I also found out he is very territorial because I feel like he claimed the guest room we just put together, I can always find him on the bed of the guest room.
February 9 is the one year anniversary of Fluffy/Fifi/Freddie's rescue from that house in Yolo. I just wanted to send a few pictures and thank you again for your part in bringing Queen Freddie into my life. She is the sweetest cat I have ever met. She's my little kitty therapist.
THANK YOU for all that you do!! - Britt and Freddie Goldfinger is doing amazing in his forever homes. One of the first kitties Lapcats was able to rescue and place around 2005-2006. He's looking great! Thanks for the photos Shelley!
We are grateful that you rescued Elsie (Zero) and want to support your continued good work. I have attached a recent photo of Elsie. As you can see, she is healthy and happy and still as talkative as ever!
Jill Silas aka Tango is doing great. My daughter and husband love his energy and he is just the sweetest cat. My other cat and Tango are getting along well. Have been trying to keep him out of my indoor plants which has been a challenge!
Izzy has taken over the house and us!
Exploring, sleeping with us at night, using the litter box and loving running and I mean running , up and down the stairs! A new game! She is never too far from where we are, and loves us to pet her and pay attention! We are totally happy with our new girl. Apparently thumper likes my dog.... I left this morning to take my friend to class and I come home and my bedroom door is open and their cuddling each other on my moms bed! They are literally best friends!
Happy New Year! I thought you might enjoy a few pictures of our lion kitty. She had a vet checkup last week and weighs in at 14lbs of pure fluff and love! She loves her Royal Canin Ragdoll formula for kibble and gets a little Fancy Feast for breakfast and dinner. Her teeth are in excellent condition. Our girl is happy and healthy and the vet was pleased with her overall health.
She is the light of my life and I am so happy I was able to give her a furr-ever home! To be honest.... I'm not entirely sure which one of us was actually rescued!! :) Love and Hugs, Erynn and Lucy Sampson is doing great! He has adjusted so well! Bailey (the other cat) and him are best friends!! He is VERY playful now and got many fun new toys at Christmas! He is still a cuddle bug and cuddles me every night and in the morning. Sleeps right next to me :)
Bre We had decided to adopt a cat after Christmas. I went to front street and they were all out of kitties(thankfully or I wouldn't have seen Brody) so I decided to go on to petfinder. Scrolling through all those adorable faces was tough but then I saw him! Clicked on his link and read his awful story. Someone had thrown him from a car and they originally thought they were going to have to amputate his back leg but they found out all he needed was some time contained and love.
So I filled out our application and Lapcats contacted me to see if we wanted to meet him. So of course we did and instantly fell in love with him. He is so loving and playful. His favorite thing is to speed through the house and dive on his scratch post. He carry's his toys in his mouth around the house, he likes to meow at you when you stop paying attention to him, loves to cuddle in between my husband and I to fall asleep. Most of all he is just the most amazing cat and we love him so much. We are completely grateful that we found him and that he chose us. John & Rae Amy is a very good cat, I have to help keep her clean until she looses weight but I don't mind, she is very cool, and seems happy!
They have a new names Holly (Trouble) and Fish (Bee Gee). They are awesome! The babies are incorporated in to the whole house and Are getting used to our dog. Holly snuffs the dog and Fish sniffs her but then hisses. He'll come around. He's warming up to her. And they have bonded really well to our girls and to us.
Now.... if this had happened when I was growing up . . . Oh wait, this would have NEVER happened when I was growing up.... it made me laugh so hard! My Dad cannot see well, so if he has a cat hair in his meal, no big deal now!!!
We hope you find it amusing too! Cathy Things are going great. She is getting more adventurous everyday. She sleeps in the morning with the dog and runs like crazy all night with the older cat. It was like she was made for this household. I have a picture here of her and Sofie but haven't been able to catch a good one of her and Noodles as they are either running, playing or looking away when I try to take the picture!
Shawneen Happy New Year. Charlie (Now Tobey...it's a family name) has settled in perfectly. We have a complete & harmonious fur family Thank you for all you do.
Best Regards, Angela PAISLEY is a super affectionate little Tabby who had a great start in life, but then came across some unfortunate circumstances.
From the time she was a tiny kitty, Paisley lived as an indoor only cat with an elderly man, his Great Dane, and another cat named Dolly... and Dolly was more like a mother to Paisley than a house-mate. Paisley was a little over a year old when her owner passed away and a friend of the family let Paisley and Dolly live in their outdoor enclosure. Even though it wasn't the same as getting all of the affection they'd received as indoor kitties, their basic needs were met, they were safe and had each other... That was their life for three or four years until about three months ago when Dolly unexpectedly became ill and was euthanized, at which point Paisley became very lonely. That's when LapCats stepped in to help find Paisley her perfect home ... and when I say perfect, I mean purrrrr-fect!! Paisley had been lucky enough to be given a shot at the PetSmart/LapCats Adoption Center shortly after being put up for adoption to try to get her more visibility, but she was just too fearful to settle in in that environment, so headed back to her outdoor enclosure to patiently wait for the right home. After 2 ! 1/2 months of patiently waiting, adopters Sherry and Jeff arrived on the scene. They had had a beloved cat named Roxie for 18 years. Roxie had passed away in the summer of 2015, but Sherry just didn't feel ready to look for another kitty until recently. Sherry looked at many cats in need, and not until she came across Paisley did she show Jeff her profile and say, "We have to get her!" Jeff's reply to Sherry after seeing Paisley's profile was, "We do have to get her!" Sherry and Jeff came to meet Paisley on New Year's Eve, and it was love at first sight on all counts. Paisley couldn't decide who she liked better and kept lap-hopping back and forth between Sherry and Jeff. The next day, Paisley was brought to Jeff and Sherry's home to complete the adoption, and their love story just grew. It immediately felt as if Paisley had lived there her entire life, with plenty more lap-hopping and canoodling ensuing. Jeff and Sherry couldn't stop doting over Paisley, and Paisley was completely in her glory. What a way to start off the new year! Two days later, we got a wonderful update along with some adorable photos of Paisley. I have no doubt that Paisley has found her forever home and her forever people in Sherry and Jeff! Patty They are doing great!
Stella (Claire) is the outgoing one. She is my snuggle bug and plays hard! She starts purring whenever I talk to her. Finley (Milo/Gary) is still very shy but getting a little better every day. He does not like to be picked up, but sits next to me now. I am working with him to get less shy. They both LOVE to eat and play. They have a new cat tree and tons of toys. They go so fast that every picture is a blur so far! Dana |
