It has been six months since we adopted Elsie. As you know, her adoption was questionable because she cried all day long. She would only be silent for small periods of time throughout the day. Since I work from home, I couldn’t concentrate or take phone calls. With some behavioral modification techniques given to us by our vet, Dr. Byam, plus patience and time, Elise has learned that work time is quiet time. She will always be our “Chatty Cathy” cat, but she has settled down a lot in the past month. In the last couple of weeks, her personality has really come out.
Hopefully, our success after a difficult transition period, will be an encouraging story for other adopters in similar situations. It’s amazing what time, patience and knowledge can accomplish. Brittany, thanks for all your help and encouragement the last several months. Regards, Jill and Dave Boilard P.S. Elsie is sleeping quietly on her cat tree while I type this email. I thought I would never see this day!
