Hi Everyone,
The pictures below are new ones for facebook and success page. I am including an old update to remind you of how precious these girls are. Both were going to be euthanized for different reasons. Lily came in with a broken tibia and Fibia and had a very expensive surgery done to save her life thanks to Lapcats. It caused a lot of grief with some people on the TEAM board wondering why we would spend so much money on one cat when we could use the money to save multiple cats. Pictures and success stories like this are the reason why!!! Rosie was very sick with chronic upper respiratory in the back cages. When Josh and Laura decided they wanted to add a friend for Lily, I knew Rosie would be a perfect fit. This family is one of the most incredible families we have ever adopted to. Rosie is the longer haired Ragdoll and Lily is the short haired Siamese. First update from Josh and Laura after adopting Lily:We got our little guardian angel, Lily, from Lapcats. After losing our beloved 17-year-old kitty last Christmas, who was my husband's first pet, we had a hole in our hearts and home. I started researching local cat rescue organizations and discovered Lapcats, which rescues kitties from kill-shelters. I applied to adopt a cat and started showing my husband kitty pictures and profiles on the Lapcats web page. When he saw a picture of Lily, who Lapcats recommended to us based on our personalities and needs, it was love at first sight. She was the only one who really got him excited about having another pet. We learned that Lily came to the county shelter with a broken tibia/fibula and although she was otherwise young and healthy, she was scheduled to be euthanized. 2nd write up Lily is the sweetest little Siamese baby, and it broke our hearts to learn that she wouldn't be in our lives if Lapcats had not intervened and rescued her. She needed leg surgery, which Lapcats paid for, and now her leg is as good as new! She runs and jumps and climbs all over the house. She is so full of life and full of love, and we are grateful that Lapcats gave her the help she needed. Lily brings so much joy to our home. She greets us at the door when we get home, hangs out with us all day, and snuggles with us at night. Between the two of us, we have owned 6 cats over the years, and while we've loved them all, Lily is truly special. We cannot imagine not having her in our lives. Thank you Lapcats!
